KUALA LUMPUR: UOB Kay Hian Malaysia Research expects DiGi.Com Bhd to report a an improvement in its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) margin for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2013 (Q3, 2013)It said on Monday with the ending of additional operations and maintenance (O&M) expenses for upgrading its network to LTE compatible technology, DiGi’s margin is expected to improve a further 0.5 to 1.0 percentage point (on-quarter) in the third quarter from 45.2% in Q2,[url=http://www.saclancelvente.fr]lancel soldes[/url],FY13 and 44.4% in H1FY13.“Besides, a rising momentum of bundle plans will contribute to higher margins in subsequent quarters since DiGi expenses handset subsidies upfront. We estimate Q3, 2013 net profit at RM425mil (up 2% on-quarter; up 6% on-year),” it said.UOB Kay Hian Research said it expected all the additional O&M expenses to be essentially concluded in Q3, FY13, leading to an absence of such expenses in Q4, 2013.It expected DiGi to raise Q4, 2013 EBITDA margin to a conservatively estimated 47%, which would set a higher base for 2014.“We believe there is room for upgrading our conservative 46.2% assumption and consensus estimate of 45.7%. Each one percentage point improvement raises our 2014F net earnings by 3 4%.“Announcement of a business trust will be exciting. This is expected by December 2013. If adopted, the business trust potentially liberates DiGi to announce more capital distribution. On track to a net cash position in 2014, DiGi can certainly make its balance sheet work harder. Besides, its parent, Telenor, could also use some additional cash to finance investments in Myanmar,” it said.
