SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 2013[SUNDAY 9:51 pm ET]WORKER FATALLY INJURED: A volunteer track worker on the Canadian Grand Prix died Sunday after being stepped on utilizing a crane removing an automible with the course following a checkered flag. The guy, who wasn't immediately identified, died after being taken by helicopter into a hospital. "The worker was making an effort to recover an automible, which had stopped usually in the race," F1 spokesman Matteo Bonciani said. "The recovery vehicle had lifted your truck to return it to your pits and even though doing this the worker dropped his radio and attempt to understand it. Since he did this, he stumbled and was hit and run over." Race promoter Francois Dumontier said he concerned 38 years of. "It's terrible," Dumontier said. "It tarnishes the amazing weekend which we had. Now i'm devastated to educate yourself about this.
